Sunday 16th June - Leith Links to Portobello Beach
Overview: As part of the 2019 Edinburgh Festival of Cycling we at Edinburgh Family Rides, in partnership with Fun Family Cycles, are running a guided ride from Crops in Pots on Leith Links to the beach at Portobello where there will be a picnic and games. The ride is almost entirely off-road and will take us along the Restalrig Railway Path, connecting to Portobello Promenade via a short section of shared use path along Seafield Road. We will stop outside Tumbles on Portobello Promenade where we will enjoy the beach before returning to Crops in Pots along the same route. We will also be joined by our friends at Bike Curious who will be bringing some of their specialist family bikes along for people to try! Timings: 10:00 – 14:00 (approximately 4 hours with stops) Distance: 5 miles / 8 km Suitability: This ride is suitable for riders of all abilities.
