Saturday 15th September - Ride to Portobello Beach!
Overview: This will be a leisurely guided ride from The Meadows to Portobello. It will primarily be off-road, using the shared-use cycle paths of the National Cycle Network, National Cycle Route 1 (NCR-1), and some quiet side roads. The surface is good, smooth tarmac with some small bumps. Best of all, it is almost entirely downhill! Timings: 11:00 – 14:00 (approximately 3 hours) Distance: 4.8 miles / 7.7 km Suitability: This ride is suitable for riders of all abilities. Details: We will meet at the junction of Middle Meadow Walk and East Meadow Walk at 11am. If you are early then please feel free to join me for a coffee and a biscuit at Peter’s Yard café just up from here, where I will be waiting beforehand.
