Edinburgh Family Rides

Overview: Join us this May for a ride and treasure hunt from Middle Meadow Walk to Dr Neil's Garden in Duddingston and back. The ride will take us along cycle paths of the National Cycle Network and some quiet roads, through Holyrood Park (which is closed to traffic on Sundays) and finally to Dr Neil's Garden. Here we will stop for around an hour to explore the gardens and have a coffee at the Garden Cafe,  after which we will return to the Meadows along the same route. There will be a treasure hunt quiz for children to complete en route, and our friends at Bike Curious will be bringing some of their specialist family bikes along for people to try! Overview: Join us this April for a special Easter ride from Duddingston Primary to Bridgend Farmhouse and back. The ride will take us along cycle paths of the National Cycle Network and some quiet roads, through Craigmillar Castle Park and to the farmhouse where there will be an Easter egg hunt for the kids and a chance for a seat and some coffee for the rest of us!  Timings: 11:00 – 14:00 (approximately 3 hours with stops) Distance: 5.59 miles / 9 km Suitability: This ride is suitable for riders of all abilities. Details: The group will meet outside Duddingston Primary School at 11am and will aim to set off by 11.15am. From here we will cycle along quiet roads, walking on the pavement for a short stretch along Milton Road West between Duddingston Avenue and Duddingston Row, until we join up with the NCR-1 cycle path.
